Rendez-vous

"The Greatest Car Movie Ever Made"
This guy is crazy!
Thrill art film with a grill-mounted camera

The runs 16 red lights
Crosses into oncoming traffic
Nearly plown peds and pigeons
Drives on sidewalks

Then the driver meets his lady...

Meat Flower

Just finished carving pot roast for dinner tomorrow. This was my first time "carving." Being a butcher would be quite rewarding.

Reminded me of human anatomy at college. I would crave a McDonald's double pounder after lab nights.

Hairdos and Follitical Disfunction

Got my hair cut today. Bought some shaving gel at the place. How did they get me to do that?

I have an uncle who musically narrates different hairdos.

Here are a couple I'd like to hear...

There's Always Evaporation

Water Polo has resumed. It was great to get in the water for my Chlorine fix tonight. It was also satisfying to act on agressions and be strategic at the same time.

If I were to be reincarnated, it would be as a drop of water. My surroundings would be everchanging. Gravity would be a mere cousin. And if I got bored..there's always evaporation.

The crew just spent the past few days up at Sundance Resort near Provo, Utah. Great art on the walls of the cabin done by German artist Sibylle Szaggars.

As the good prophet Joseph says..It is good to unstring your bow once in a while--or else it will lose its spring.

Cylindrical Potpourri - Sun Tunnels

Within 24 hours, what do you get when you cross a coven of witches, a lumberjack named Steve, memorable desert wanderers, howling wolves, and the longest night of the year?

It would be me and my brother Bryan's (see his blog) winter solstice overnight excursion to Nancy Holt's Sun Tunnels near Lucin, UT.

Nancy Holt.

Dark, desolate, wind-harping and enigmatic.

Infinite adventures await those wandering the West desert.

Spider Goats Gruff...?

I have long bee fascinated with goats. I were to be reinacranted, I would be a goat. They can eat anything, they don't have to shave, they live in the mountains (Mountain Goats), and some live in green pastures. The ones in pastures have concern with trolls.

Here are a few of my favorite Three Billy Goats Gruff links:

Random thought...

I dont like spiders. Actually, I consider them the antihesis animal of goats. However, remarkable things are happening when science is triangulated with spiders and goats...

Flip Flops...What Do They Really Mean?

Flip flops are not:
Shoes
Boots
Heels
Wings
Loafers
Slippers
Sandals
Flippers
Fins

Flip flops are a breed all their own.

I beg the question...are flip flops merely prosthetic feet or are they the leftovers of an otherwise solid-minded individual?

Much like dreams are rumored to keep us centered in life and make sense of a chaotic world--Flip flops refine chaos while one is awake (flip flop sleeping is not recommended).

Flip flops are not for everyone. Some view flip flops as a sign of an undecided person. The design of the flip flop evidences the contrary.

The big toe and the second toe are separated when wearing flip flops. Successful flip floppers have disciplined big toes and can manage freedom.

The traveled flip flop is like mold. Nobody really knows if it goes bad.

A child sees a rainstorm as opportunity for exploration, growth,
And seizing life.

Could see their own challenges the same way.

Although vital, floating is overrated.
What gets done while afloat matters most.

Opaque Slivers in the Mist

Desert wildflower.
We look upon it as if on display at a gallery
We do not realize the stemmed navigator
Returning surveillance
With petal-laden aperture.
